Flowers of Our Lives, 2008, curated by Joanna Zielinska

From when she was 13 years old until her death in 2001, Janina Turek wrote diaries where she noted all her everyday activities: eating, making phone calls, watching TV, meeting friends. She created a kind of collection of everyday activities, which she systematized according to colours and numbers, and she divided her life into 32 categories. Janina Turek also collected postcards, family pictures, books, records, and other things. A collection of over 700 notebooks was found by her family after her death.
